The Corporate Relations Committee is the official SIMSREE committee which is entrusted with the role of nurturing and developing long term relationship with the eminent dignitaries of the corporate world. This, eventually results in an increased brand visibility of SIMSREE in the corporate world.

The Corporate Relations committee achieves the above functions through:

• Various guest lectures conducted by the committee throughout the year. These guest lectures cover the entire gamut of management industry ranging from the directors of the corporate world to the heads of the dabbawaala services.


• Events spread across the academic year; 2010 saw two successful events being organized in SIM’ergence ’10 and INNOVENT ’10.

SIM’ergence ’10 - Our annual academia-industry interface, held on 11th March, 2010, saw the turnout of a huge number of corporates and students alike. The guest list included people from both the corporate and political world. Prominent among them were
• Shri. K. Sankaranarayanan - Governor of Maharashtra.
• Mr. Ajay Piramal – Chairman, Piramal Group.
• Mr. Suresh Kotak – Chairman, Kotak and Co Ltd.

INNOVENT ’10 - An intra-collegiate event, this involved many sub-events throughout the day. The event culminated with a Panel Discussion which was addressed to by the following dignitaries from the corporate world –
• Mr. Arjun Marphatia – Senior VP, Enam Asset Mgmt Company.
• Dr. G. Suresh Rao - Head, GIS, Lavasa Corp.
• Dr. Sudhir Tamne – Head, R&D Foods, Godfrey Philips Ltd .
